10 - Series: What does it involve?
-
Session 1
The Rib Cage. The focus of this session is to release tension in the tissue surrounding the rib cage and to lengthen the lower back. A key benefit of this work is enhanced breathing, allowing for deeper, fuller breaths that increase cardiac output. Proper diaphragmatic breathing helps to slow the heart rate, reduce stress and tension, improve oxygen intake, and promote mental clarity and calmness.
-
Session 2
The Legs and Feet. The focus of this session is on the foundational structures of the body, specifically the lower legs and feet. This work helps to lengthen the backline and fosters a strong sense of grounding.
-
Session 3
The Sides. This session focuses on the dynamic relationship between the pelvis, rib cage, and shoulder girdle. Building on the work from Session One, it delves deeper into the fascia to address deeper restrictions. This session is particularly beneficial for alleviating shoulder pain and further releasing any limitations that may be hindering optimal breathing.
-
Session 4, 5, & 6:
Core. Focus of these sessions is to adjust and lengthen the center line, or core, that runs vertically through the body.
-
Session 7
Head and Neck. The focus of this session is to release the muscles of the neck, face and head. One big element of this session is addressing forward head posture, TMJ pain, headaches, and neck. Intra-oral jaw work is included in this session.
-
Session 8 & 9
Integration. The focus of these session is to integrate the lower and upper body in a new more efficient way. This is the key to the lasting effects and want the body-mind to fully own the new way of moving and being in the world.
-
Session 10
Arms. The focus of this session is to release and integrate the arms and shoulders.
-
Session 11
Integration. The focus of this session is to integrate the whole body in a new and more efficient manner. (Optional Session)

Additional Facts
You do not need to commit to the entire series at once, sessions 1-3, 7 and 10 can be done as a stand alone session.
I suggest trying sessions 1-3 as a starting point if you are unsure about the entire series.
The work may be more effective if you are able to do the sessions within 1-2 weeks of each other.
Session 11 is offered as an optional session as not everyone likes AK. AK is introduced in session 10 and can be discussed more.
